Buckingham's OX-BLOCK Handline Assembly includes an adjustable 4' Sling (rope) and Carabiner which can be used for a hurt man rescue. However Buckingham mfg. explains to NOT USE P/N 2406 handline hook [MBS 500 lbs] or handline snap [MBS 750 lbs] for human support. All components used for rescue must have a 5000 lb. rating, which is configured to handle human support. When it comes to rigging, ensure the weak link has a 4 to 1 safety factor.
The Ox Block is designed to be a rope snatch block with an integrated friction bar that can be used for Lowering, Raising, Hurtman/Self-Rescue and Snubbing loads. This item also allows the professional to handle large loads with great control and while lowering loads, assist in tension being transferred from the worker to the Ox Block.
- Has a greater WLL than blocks of similar size.
- Whenever configured with optional pulleys, Buckingham's Block can be used to create a 4:1, 5:1 or 6:1 mechanical advantage which will reduce the amount of force needed to lift heavy loads. The advantage of the pulleys used by Buckingham is the swivel side plate which will allow quick and easy rope installation without having to remove the pulley from the connecting device.
- Material: Polyester Rope, Aluminum OX Block (50061), Alloy Steel Snap (5005S3), Steel Hook (2406)
